A motorcycle helmet visor (also called a face shield) is the transparent or tinted protective screen that covers the front opening of a helmet, shielding the rider's face and eyes from wind, debris, insects, and weather while maintaining visibility. Visors are typically made from polycarbonate or other impact-resistant materials and can be clear for maximum light transmission, tinted for sun protection, or even photochromic to automatically adjust to light conditions.
