Sport R is not just a cool name that Rizoma came up with, it stands for a design philosophy that surrounds providing protection that is just as functional as it is eye-leasing. In the event of a crash or fall, the first part of the Rizoma Sport R Axle Slider to hit the ground is the Delrin cap. Delrin is an ideal material for this job as it has a wide operating temperature range (-40°C to 120°C) and is high impact and abrasion resistance. The bell-like shape of the aluminium base offers a wide surface to disperse impact energy which ensures that the slider will hold together. This design also inherently protects the mounting hardware from shearing off in crash or fall.
